Headline rates and withholding taxes: PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries — CIT rates and WHT rates, checked 14 October 2026 (PwC last-reviewed date per country below). Detailed regimes for our core jurisdictions follow each country's PwC "Taxes on corporate income" page. Jurisdictions not covered by PwC (e.g. BVI, Seychelles, Belize) are not calculated because we could not verify their rates from PwC or an official source in this release. Currency thresholds use ECB reference rates of 13 October 2026; AED via the USD peg (3.6725).

Tiers, FATF & sanctions — how we classify

Tiers are Lexbit’s own classification, intended as a quick orientation, not a rating of any country:

  • Tier 1 — OECD or EU member states: major onshore jurisdictions with strong reputation and broad banking access.
  • Tier 2 — other reputable international business centres, G20 economies and special-regime jurisdictions (e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, Gibraltar, Monaco, Mauritius, Georgia, Serbia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uruguay).
  • Tier 3 — offshore or zero/low-tax jurisdictions (e.g. Cayman Islands, BVI, Bermuda, Bahamas, Seychelles, Belize, Panama, Channel Islands, Isle of Man). These also carry the “Offshore” label.
  • Not tiered — all other jurisdictions, plus anything sanctioned or on the FATF black list.

FATF status follows the official FATF lists published 19 June 2026: “High-Risk Jurisdictions subject to a Call for Action” (black list) and “Jurisdictions under Increased Monitoring” (grey list). Source: FATF — black and grey lists. FATF updates these lists three times a year.

Sanctions flag marks jurisdictions under comprehensive or extensive country-wide programmes: Russia (UK, EU, US), Belarus (UK, EU, US), Iran (UN, UK, EU, US), North Korea (UN, UK, EU, US) and Cuba (US embargo). Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk and others) are also subject to comprehensive restrictions. Syria is not flagged: the US removed its comprehensive Syria programme from 1 July 2025 and the EU and UK lifted most economic sanctions in 2025, although targeted listings remain. Many other countries have targeted (list-based) sanctions that are not shown here — always screen parties individually.
